A cookie is a file stored on the visitor’s computer. There are two types of cookies, both of them used in Flex HRM:
Flex HRM uses Persistent cookies for graphic settings and general functionality intended to improve the user experience.
Flex HRM uses Session cookies for authentication purposes and for facilitating the communication between user and server, e.g. to keep the user logged on to the system.
Flex HRM doesn´t use cookies for storing personal data or distributing information to third party.
According to the Electronic Communications Act, everyone visiting a website using cookies should be notified about the fact that the website contains cookies and be informed about their usage and the possibilities of removal.
The user should also grant a simplified conscious consent to the use of cookies. This do not apply to cookies that are strictly necessary in order for the application to work. The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority has no specified technical description on the way in which consent should be granted, leaving it to the owner of the web site to come up with a solution that complies with the law.
According to recommendations from The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority, the information about cookies should include the name, domain, lifespan and type of data stored as well as the purpose of all cookies used on the site.
